CHFM Faculty Member Dr. Jay Clugston Spoke at the Florida Alliance for Sports Medicine 1st inaugural Summit

Our own Dr. Jay Clugston was invited to speak and represent the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine and the Student Health Care Center at the Florida Alliance for Sports Medicine 1st inaugural Summit in Kissimmee, Florida last weekend.  Dr. Clugston spoke on Heat Illness and specifically Exertional Heat Stroke. The conference was kicked off with a keynote address by the legendary Florida State University coach Bobby Bowden and then focused on sports medicine topics of Concussion, Heat Illness and Hydration, Sickle Cell Trait and Emergency Planning.  Attendees were physicians, athletic trainers, athletic directors, and coaches.
