Evening, Saturday Class Options Added! Workshops Available to Support Transition to Canvas
UFIT began offering three new Canvas workshops this month. All three are being offered multiple times in November and December, including sessions scheduled in the evenings and on Saturday. GatorLink Email (Webmail) for Students to be Retired in March 2015
Please remind students in your area that GatorLink email for students, most commonly referred to as Webmail, is being retired in March 2015. Students that haven’t chosen to migrate to GatorCloud Exchange email by January 29, 2015 will have a migration date chosen for them. Win2003 Server Death Date: July 14, 2015
On July 14, 2015, Microsoft support for Windows 2003 ends. IT staff should plan now for the upgrade, replacement, or retirement of systems running Windows 2003. Unit IT managers that need assistance with remediating Windows 2003 servers should submit a support request or contact David Gagne (dagagne@ufl.edu) in UFIT’s Technology Support Services group as soon as possible to discuss solutions.
Free lynda.com Access Continues
UFIT provides campus-wide access to lynda.com, a 24/7 online training library. This is a GREAT resource for students, faculty, and staff! During the 2013-2014 fiscal year, 14,910 members of the UF community logged in and watched 26,830 hours of training! The most popular videos were: Examining the Structure of an HTML Document, InDesign CC Essential Training, and Using Formulas in Excel. UF Endpoint Management
UF Endpoint Management (UFEM) is the service offering IBM’s BigFix software. This software combines endpoint management and security into a single solution.
