Dear Colleagues:
Each of us represents UF Health and our shared goal to provide excellent care and hospitable service to our patients, visitors and co-workers. With that in mind, we’re pleased to let you know that our new UF Health IDs will soon be in hand.
Starting in August, managers will distribute the new ID badge overlays to be worn over existing IDs. These are for UF Health core service staff, UF Health Shands employees and College of Medicine faculty and staff in Gainesville.
The new ID will fit over your current UF Health Shands ID or UF Gator1 ID card, which will continue to serve as smart cards you can swipe for clocking in and out, and for building access and financial transactions. So please keep your current ID, ID holder and access fob — you’ll still need these.
The new IDs display the UF Health logo and help clearly identify each person by name and role. Streamlined certifications and credentials keep the display simple to understand. This approach will benefit our patients, visitors and customers and give us a unified look.
