Professional Biography

Dr. Ware’s career has included stints at both the University of Florida as well as at the Medical University of South Carolina. During this time, Dr. Ware has won over fifteen teaching awards for both medical student and resident education. His excellence as an educator was recognized in 1996 by the American Psychiatric Association when he was awarded the Nancy C. Roeske Certificate for Recognition of Medical Student Education. Dr. Ware also developed several outpatient specialty clinics for the treatment of anxiety disorders and psychopharmacology at the University of Florida, managed inpatient psychiatry services at both medical schools, and actively participated in research. He has given over 100 invited lectures as well as numerous radio and TV interviews on various psychiatric topics. He is married to another CHFM faculty member and family physician, Dr. Karen Hall.
