Professional Biography

Dr. Hensley is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Family Medicine at Main Street. She received her M.D. from the University of Florida and completed her residency at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida. Before becoming a family medicine physician, Dr. Hensley worked as a coordinator and supervisor at a nature park and also worked for the state, and in 2000 she became a physician at the Main Street clinic. Dr. Hensley has volunteered as a Special Olympics Sport Physician and received Volunteer of the Year for her efforts; she has also won numerous teaching and achievement awards. Her medical interests include preventative medicine, women and children’s health and obstetrics.

  • Sub-investigator, A Randomized, Double-Blind, Parallel-Group, Multi-center Study to Compare Clinical Health Outcomes of Telithromycin versus Azithromycin in Outpatients with Community-Acquired Lower Respiratory Tract Infections (Aventis, $22,000)
  •  Sub-Investigator, A 52 week extension to a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, active controlled study to compare the effect of 52 weeks treatment with LAF237 50 mg bid to metformin up to 1000 mg bid in drug naïve patients with type 2 diabetes (Novartis, $3,662)
