New Phishing Scam Alert – GatorLink Password Reminder

A new email scam is making the rounds on campus, reminding people to store a ‘forgot password’ hint in the myUFL portal.  The link redirects to a fake UF website.

2014 Tech Fee Funding Cycle Now Open

Projects to enhance technology used in UF’s instructional environment may be submitted for 2014 Technology Fee funding. The first step is to a concept paper, which must be discussed with and signed off by a Core IT unit director. A list of directors and their area of responsibility is available under Requirements on the Submitting a Concept Paper page. The deadline for the initial discussion and signature is December 13, 2013.

Jabber Service Retirement – December 15

The Cyber Self-Defense class is very interactive with discussion topics that get the participants thinking about how to protect their home and office computer environments.
