Gainesville physician Dr. Tanya Anim received the Florida Academy of Family Physician’s Young Leader Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Florida Academy of Family Physicians and the specialty of Family Medicine by a young physician. Anim works at the University of Florida as core faculty for the Family Physician’s program, and is known as essential in the UF training program, where she serves as mentor and advisor to medical students. Anim is described by her peers as being a strong leader physician who takes charge and leads by example.
