Alachua County is facing a challenging flu season. Our efforts at UF Health support the health of our community. We’re asking everyone to participate in careful flu prevention and management this season. Please help us protect our patients, visitors and staff in our hospitals and outpatient programs. For the next few weeks, we’re taking extra precautions with infection control guidelines. We’re introducing some temporary new visitation and mask policies at UF Health Shands. We will be sharing information via the news media and social media about our efforts and our recommendations for people with symptoms. Internally at UF Health, you will see posters and fliers in key areas of our hospitals.
Please visit the Emerging Issues site on the Bridge intranet (under the “Employee Services” tab at https://bridge.ufhealth.org/response/). This is where we’ll post updated resources including print-and-post materials, scripts you can use with patients and customers, and links to updates from the CDC and other trusted sources.
