Professional Biography

Dr. John E. Trainer is the primary care physician for students in health care programs, including medical, dental, and veterinary schools. He began his career as an employee of a small, independent family-owned practice. He earned an ownership stake in the practice and facilitated its acquisition by a large hospital group. Within three years, he was serving on the board of directors of this group. In addition to his experience in leadership and practice management, he is passionate about evidence-based care and excellence in customer service. When he is outside the office, he enjoys yard work and home improvement; he relaxes by spending time outdoors with his wife and five children.
