Professional Biography

Before becoming a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine and being appointed as the program director of Student Counseling and Development at the UF College of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Beverly L. Vidaurreta received her PhD in Counseling Psychology at Southern Illinois University. She worked as a counselor and a clinician for a short period of time in Florida and California before joining the CHFM faculty. Dr. Vidaurreta is an active member of numerous committees at the UF College of Medicine as well as a life coach for the Florida Opportunity Scholars Academy of Leadership and a mentor for the University Minority Mentor Program.
