Professional Biography

Dr. Ann M. Grooms is board certified in Pediatrics and a charter member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM). After completing her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Grooms became an instructor at the University of Oklahoma’s Children’s Memorial Hospital. Following this, she practiced and consulted in Pediatrics and Hematology-Oncology in California and North Carolina and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Grooms joined the faculty at UF when she became a team physician for the UF Swim and Tennis teams. She now provides patient care at the UF Student Health Center, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine, and is still one of the team physicians for the University of Florida Athletic Association.
