About Barbara L Durden
I am the rare thing known as a 3rd generation Floridian and while my family is from Tampa, FL I spent my childhood in Bradenton, FL living out in the countryside. I did both my Undergraduate and Medical school at the University of South Florida and am happy to be in Gainesville where I feel right at home with the small town feel of the city. I have a great interest in rural and underserved medicine as well as an interest in dermatology as I feel this is an often-underrepresented area in the rural communities. I chose UF because of the level of education, volunteer opportunities, as well as the close feel of everyone at the program and look forward to my time here! In my free time I enjoy cross-stitching, hiking, and spending time with my cats.
