TJ Fillmer, DO

My name is TJ Fillmer, DO. I am an assistant professor in the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine treating patents at UF Health Family Medicine – Eastside. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, my approach to patient care is to look beyond symptoms to treat the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – to help my patients achieve optimal health. When evaluating medical conditions, I work with my patients to evaluate lifestyle, nutrition, and the environmental variables that can impact health with the goal of offering holistic treatment options to complement standard medical treatment and lead to better outcomes.

I earned my doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, and completed residency training at Ascension St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency in Jacksonville. During my training, I spent extra time participating in research focused on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and lifestyle medicine.

In my free time I enjoy making music, fishing, and spending time with my growing family.
