Jairo Olivas, MD

Jairo Olivas, M.D., is board-certified in family medicine and primary care sports medicine. He’s currently a provider on the Sports Medicine and Acute Care Team at the UF Student Health Care Center, and is a team physician for the University of Florida Athletic Association

Dr. Olivas attended the University of New Mexico for his Undergraduate degree and Medical School. He then completed both his Family Medicine residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Florida. Prior to joining the team at the student health care center, Dr. Olivas spent 5 years in Fairfax, Virginia where he served as Assistant program director and his final year as Program Director of the Fairfax Family Medicine Sports Medicine Fellowship. His professional interests include Sports Medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound guided procedures and medical education.
