About Rebeca M Siguenza Guatemala
My name is Rebeca Sigüenza and I am a nurse practitioner at UF Health Family Medicine – Eastside. My clinical practice is focused on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness and injury care, women’s health, mental health and health education. I have special expertise in back and neck pain from mechanical or compressive injuries.
I was inspired to become a nurse practitioner due to a genuine passion for providing holistic and patient-centered care. Nursing, with its emphasis on compassion and advocacy, was a great fit, and I also found family medicine to be especially appealing because it allows providers the opportunity to offer patients comprehensive care, addressing not just physical but also emotional and social aspects of health.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida College of Nursing. I also speak fluent Spanish and am certified as a Spanish/English medical interpreter and am dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care to my patients.
As a family medicine provider, I want my patients to feel confident in my commitment to establishing a trusting and collaborative relationship with them. Open communication is crucial, and I am here to listen, understand and work together to achieve my patient’s health care needs and goals.
