About Petra E Townsend

Dr. Townsend is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health and  Family Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts at the  University of Florida and her medical degree from Ross University School of  Medicine.  She completed her training in  Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Florida.

Dr. Townsend is a member  of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Florida Academy of Family  Physicians, where she has served as a Resident Director holding the position of  Secretary and Treasurer.  She is also a founding member of the Mayo Clinic Fellow’s Association, where she previously served as Athletic Chairman.
